Red bauble Christmas card
Decorating the Christmas tree is probably my favourite part of the festive season and I especially love a red bauble. So, I thought why not create an entire card celebrating this little Christmas jewel?
This is an A6 card made from GF Smith Colorplan Cool Grey and features an original linocut print of a red bauble with a star in the middle, hand drawn, carved and printed by me using Ironbridge Fine Arts relief ink in a bespoke red made using Ironbridge Fine Arts relief process colours. It also includes a sparkly ribbon in either gold or silver. The card comes with a matching envelope and is blank inside for your own message.
I will post your card in a compostable sleeve and board-backed envelope to protect it.
Printmaking with lino is a manual craft that requires specialist tools and inks.
The nature of the process means that each card is slightly different and may feature some speckling in the ink. It is part of what makes this artform so beautiful. Please note there may be slight variations from the card in the photo.
