Snowman Christmas card
As a kid, building a snowman, with a carrot for a nose, twigs for arms and lumps of coal for coat buttons, was always a big highlight when it snowed. So this card is all about childhood memories and the joy of creating something that was never meant to last.
This is an A6 card made from GF Smith Colorplan Cool Grey and features an original linocut print of a snowman, hand drawn, carved and printed by me using Ironbridge Fine Arts relief black-blue ink. He also features a metallic orange carrot nose cut on my Cricut. The card comes with a matching envelope and is blank inside for your own message.
I will post your card in a compostable sleeve and board-backed envelope to protect it.
Printmaking with lino is a manual craft that requires specialist tools and inks.
The nature of the process means that each card is slightly different and may feature some speckling in the ink. It is part of what makes this artform so beautiful. Please note there may be slight variations from the card in the photo.
