Hat and stars Christmas card
Who doesn’t love a woolly hat?! I made this one a festive red and covered it in stars because both make me think of winter and darker nights.
This is an A6 card made from GF Smith Colorplan Cool Grey and features an original linocut print of a winter hat, hand drawn, carved and printed by me using a bespoke red made from Ironbridge Fine Arts process colours. It also features shiny red stars around the hat made with my Cricut machine. The card comes with a matching envelope and is blank inside for your own message.
I will post your card in a compostable sleeve and board-backed envelope to protect it.
Printmaking with lino is a manual craft that requires specialist tools and inks.
The nature of the process means that each card is slightly different and may feature some speckling in the ink. It is part of what makes this artform so beautiful. Please note there may be slight variations from the card in the photo.
